Late-night premises licences

Which premises near you are licensed to open late — and until when? Every licensing authority keeps this register by law, but it's usually locked in a PDF nobody reads. We make it searchable, so the comparable-hours evidence that decides a licence application is available in seconds.

We'll handle your late-night licence application

These applications turn on one thing: what comparable premises nearby are already licensed for. We pull that evidence from the register above, draft and submit the application or variation, handle the public notice and the dialogue with police and environmental health, and take it through to approval. Fixed fee from £895 +VAT — council fees passed through at cost, no percentage of outcome.

Frequently asked

Are premises licences public?+

Yes. Under the Licensing Act 2003 every licensing authority in England and Wales must keep a public register of premises licences, showing each premises and its permitted hours. It is public by law — the problem is that it is usually buried in a long PDF or a one-at-a-time search portal, so almost nobody reads it.

Why does this matter for a licence application?+

Licensing decisions turn on what comparable premises in the area are already permitted. An applicant who can show that similar venues nearby already hold late hours has strong evidence for consistency; without it, an authority or the police may form a position on memory rather than the register — and get it wrong.

What does 'latest close' mean?+

The latest permitted closing time the premises licence allows (covering late-night refreshment and regulated entertainment). It is the outer limit the licence allows, not necessarily the hours actually traded. Always confirm against the council's live register before relying on a figure.

Which councils are covered?+

We are building this register-by-register, starting with councils whose data we have verified. Coverage expands as we process each authority's public register. If your council isn't listed yet, it's on the list.
