Change tracker
Council tax data goes stale silently everywhere else. This page shows exactly when every figure on CouncilData was last read from its source, and logs every value change append-only — old value, new value, date, source. Errors found along the way go to the corrections log; per-council freshness feeds into the data confidence index. Browse the current figures on the national table.
Value changes, 2026/27
None recorded since the dataset reached 350/350 coverage. When a council amends a published 2026/27 figure, the change appears here first.

Frequently asked
How often is CouncilData's council tax data re-verified?+
A rotating slice of roughly one eighth of all councils is re-read against its source page every week, alongside targeted re-checks of any record flagged for attention. The feed below shows exactly which councils were verified on which date.
What happens when a council changes a published figure?+
The record is updated with a new verified date and the change is appended to a public changelog: old value, new value, date noticed, and source. Changes are never applied silently.
Have any 2026/27 council tax values changed since first verification?+
No value changes have been recorded since the 2026/27 dataset reached full coverage. In-year changes are rare — council tax is set annually — but corrections and page fixes do occur, and appear here and in the corrections log when they do.
